The FOMC announcement is the key event today (scheduled at 7pm BST) and will attract a lot of attention. The decision seems to be a close call. The dot chart and Janet Yellen’s press conference could prove interesting as well.
In the day dominated by FOMC the data releases are going to be seen as second tier, nevertheless the publications will show an update in: jobless claims, housing starts, existing home sales and Philadelphia Fed index.
SNB left interest rates unchanged at -0,75%, the CHF overvaluation was signaled yet again in the statement.
UK is publishing it retail sales data at 9:30am BST
In Poland the retail sales and industrial production output will come into focus at 1pm BST
