European stocks muted ahead of Fed decision today

As the Fed decision looms, European markets are muted.  Tonight is judgement day for the US economy as Janet Yellen will announce if we will get lift-off from a zero bound interest rate for the first time in nearly a decade.

European markets opened a tad lower, and appears to be losing ground as investors take a risk off approach. Futures markets place the probability of a hike today at 32 per cent, rising to 64.3 per cent for the Fed’s December meeting.
